To
many Atari users - particularly
Falcon030 owners - the
name Reservoir Gods is synonymous with
great intros, demos and games. To call
this crew talented is quite
honestly an understatement!
Since
their formation in 1994, Reservoir
Gods have developed a variety
of software including a fully
featured paint package (GodPaint),
emulators (GodBoy and
GodleNES) as well as
a host of demos and games. Reservoir
Gods founding members were
Mr Pink (code), sh3
(gfx/music) and ripley
(gfx) but has since grown to
include the talents of aegir
(code), damo (music/code),
griff (code), msg
(music), neo (gfx) and
stratagem (test/gfx/code).
Their
web site is more than somewhere
you can download their software.
The homepage includes detailed
news about the site and the
crews latest releases as well
as links to the nine subsections
of the site; games, emulate, maggie,
code, utils, news,
intros, demos
and scores.

The
games subsection includes
a brief description of each
of their games (credits
include; Double Bobble 2000,
Chu Chu Rocket! and SuperFly)
accompanied by a screen-shot
and link which leads to more
screen-shots, a detailed description
of the game, download link as
well as a features and system
requirements list. Comprehensive
stuff!
Fans
of Nintendo's GameBoy and NES
consoles will be pleased and impressed
to learn that Reservoir Gods
have created emulators (GodBoy
and GodleNES respectively)
of them for the Atari Falcon030!
Copies of which can be found
in the emulate subsection.
The
maggie subsection includes
copies of every issue of the
popular diskzine, Maggie
(Reservoir Gods designed
the shell), while the code
and util subsections
include a host of exclusive downloadable
goodies including GODLIB
(libraries for PureC) and R.A.G.E.
(a compatibility tool for Nemesis accelerators).
A
nice addition to this site is
the scores subsection
where you can marvel at the amazing scores of the
greatest GodPey, SuperFly and SantaFly players from around the world.
Are you in their league?

Talking
with Mr Pink, I have learned
that Reservoir Gods "currently have a number of new Atari titles in development".
Although he would not divulge
any further details, he did
say that "you will see some very cool things from us in 2003 :)".
I can't wait!
The
Reservoir Gods site reflects
their passion found in their
games and demos, so is without question,
a worthy
of winner of ATARItoday's
Site of the month award.
